So Patty, did you finally marry Larry Rosas? My mom told me you guys were supposed to have your reception at Holy Spirit and then all of a sudden.......nothing.

Hey guys it is Julie Goddard. Yes, I am busy wiping the tears from my eyes laughing so hard. I have been horrible about keeping in touch with anyone and can't wait to see everyone. I ran into Mary Alice Price a couple of times at soccer and she caught me up on Doris J. Carol Robinson and their ladies night group. I swap Christmas cards every year with Misty Neely, Beca McCall, Shannon McNair and the Marshall twins. Julie J. and Mike Martin you both sound funnier than ever. Cliff Simpson from Castle Hills Elementary School? Eva Smith, Barbara H.,Karen Brumley, Kerry R., Robert S, Jill L, Anne White,Amie Fahel, Cathy Coker, Hey guys. Jill L. I know I ran into you a couple of times in Austin on the trail at Town Lake.

After I graduated from UT Austin (BS in Advertising) I moved to Houston and met my husband who happens to be an A&M alum. Football season is pretty rough around here. We live in Austin, Texas and have been married for 17(gasp)years. I have two kids a son 12 and a daughter who is 10 (she is a minnie me). I have stayed home to raise them. My kids do all the kid stuff and so far have turned out great despite me. I have taken up running (in my late 30's) and will be running my 7th marathon this year.

Julie J. all things cooking, cleaning and ladylike are not really my thing either. I still remember being in Mr. Glazes enriched Spanish class with you. We were always in trouble for talking the difference is you were making "A's" and I was barely passing. Mike M. we were in a science class with a Mr. Riggs or Rigsby when we dissected all sorts of animals and you were my partner. Yes, I think about Tommy M. often, he was my first love.

Bill thank you for putting all this together.

Can't wait to see everyone.

I think that Andie got inebriated by the exuberance of his own verbosity, to say the least.

Wow,
I am so computer savy, that I didn't find this blog until today. David Kriese called me at my office and told me about this reunion. It worked in my schedule so my wife Tammy and I will be attending. A little about me since WCHS. I went off to Taylor University in Indiana and found my wife there. We got married and came back to SA to go to Med School (only I got to the degree, but we both suffered through.) Stephanie Wissinger (she has a different last name now, but I don't know what it is or where she is) graduated from UT Med School in SA. I went to Univ of Michigan for residency and then settled in a little town in Ohio called Galion. It is so out in the sticks that we have to have them imported from, I think China :) We started getting children in Michigan and so far collected 7. We will be bringing the youngest, William to SA, he is only 20 months-old. The remainder will stay in Indiana with my in-laws. I have been in private practice since residency, Primary care (Internal Medicine/Pediatrics) to be specific. It'll be great to see you there next weekend.

It's Lisa Hancock Jimenez.....
I can't wait to see everyone!!
My thoughts are...does anyone even remember me!?!?
It seems that most of my high school days are a blurr....so with some faces and stories I do start to remember though.
I have been married to my husband, Michael, for 20 years and we have two sons, Michael(18) who just graduated from Smithson Valley High School and Connor(14) who will be a incoming freshman at SV. Thanks for all the wonderful stories and all the hard work in putting on this function!
Until Friday!

Wow! It took me 2 hours just to read thru all the comments...mostly because I was wiping away a few tears from laughter and fond memories. Fern, you have a fantastic memory..and yes, pep squad was alot more fun sitting next to someone as sweet as you.

I feel bad that I really haven't kept in touch with anyone over the last 25 years, but I hope to make up for it at the reunion. I had such a blast at the 10th, and then didn't make it to the 20th...oh well.

Brenda, I remember the trip to San Diego like it was yesterday. You, me, Amy, Julie, Mary, Stacey and Carole all jammed in that tiny hotel room. What a blast!! I still have some pix of it somewhere. I still think of all of you when I'm putting on my makeup...not that I apply it like a streetwalker anymore.:)

I still work in the San Antonio area, but I live in a place called Zorn. It's between San Marcos and Seguin off HWY 123. I live in the country with my husband-Chris and 6 and 3/4 year old son-Jacob. We have 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 hermit crabs, a gerbil, and about 40 head of cattle.

I've changed a lot since high school. Those of you who remember me know that I was not a party animal, and was always kinda shy...until you got to know me. Not the case anymore. I work in sales and call on auto dealers. Gotta be just a bit on the gutsy side to deal with finance directors at the dealerships.

A wild time for me in high school would have consisted of papering someone's house, and then getting ice cream from baskin-robbins. A good Friday night for me now is a ride on the Harley with my hubby and cruising to the local biker bar for a few fully dressed "dos".

Can't wait to see everyone this weekend. Y'all have a good one!!

Paige (used to be Wanless) Urban

Paige did you have long dirty blond hair with bangs and in the band at Eisenhower. what up bq's. I remember getting busted with the other sax player....any bq's know his name... by mr. schmid for having an eyedropper full of mouth wash and taking hits off it. it made for a nice minty reed. at the time i wondered whats so wrong with that. And now they have those little packs of listerin that dissolve in your mouth.

Kathryn said...

Andie, I remember that, and I remember thinking the same thing, what's the big deal....I played Alto in band and Baritone in Jazz, anyone have that album we cut still? I thought that was so cool...I think my mom still has my copy...one things for sure those reeds and mouth peices could get REALLY nasty!

Anonymous said...

Thanks Jules! Appreciate it very much! That was actually one of the better pix of me in high school. Look a little different now...ya know gravity has taken over. Talked with the hubby and we will be riding to the happy hour on Friday. Hope y'all are ready to hear the roar of American Thunder! Live to ride...Ride to live!!!

Oh...and almost forgot...If you're reading this...the bitch fell off. It's a biker thang..y'all wouldn't understand.

Hi Cathey!

Barb here; You scared me when you said "your daughter's dance team camp starts"; Are we that old? No kids, but my current oldest of 3dogs is 5 (35 in people years), and has knocked up one of the neighborhood dogs, so I guess that makes me a grandmother..... As well, last week my twelve year old eye doctor said, "You know, Barb, you're so close to FIFTY, soon you won't have to keep changing your prescriptions, because your eyes will settle down now that you're so close to FIFTY.... Beeatch.. ...... Leslie Cobb came to Dallas last weekend and we had a HUGE time, and we were so hoping to see you over the weekend... If things change let us know; We have a hotel room (not sure where), and planning to catch up and have some fun;

Or give me shout... 512.632.1650 (I'm in Austin), or kottler@hotmail.com. Sorry to miss everyone this weekend. Have a great time.

I can't believe it's been 25 years! The time sure has flown. I married Joe, my high school sweetheart. We started dating the fall of my senior year , dated for 7 years, and have been married 19 years! We have 4 beautiful children - Lindsay - 17 (she will be a senior at Reagan), Casie - 14 (she will be a freshman there), Cory - 11 (he starts middle school in the fall), and Blake - 8 (he will be in 3rd grade).

After high school, I went to UT for 2 years, then transfered to UT Arlington. Finished there with a degree in Interior Design. We lived in Dallas until 1993, then moved back to SA. My husband is an Architect, and started his own firm in 1999. Shortly thereafter, I went to work for him. 9 months later, our surprise, Blake, arrived! Guess I can't really sue him for sexual harrassment!

We definately stay very busy! I'm looking forward to this weekend.

See you there!

Talk about life going full circle...I just accepted a job teaching Physics and Chemistry at the new Johnson H.S. in NEISD. So those of you who still live here in S.A. and have kids that will be attending the school, there is a good chance I will be their science teacher.
Don't worry though, I don't smell funny, I don't keep beer in my science room refrigerator, I don't preach religion, I don't lock kids in the closet, and I don't wear mirrors on my shoes.
Looking forward to seeing everyone (even you Stocker). I'm sure I'll recognize everyone...if not I'll just go into the room that looks like a casting call for "Cocoon 3"

Hi all. Melissa {Peterson) Stangle here. I am disappointed I will not make the reunion, it sounds great. My oldest son has a baseball tournament. After high school I graduated from Baylor in 1987. I worked for USAA for six years until I got married. I have been married for 16 years to Pat who has been a women's volleyball coach at the college level for 15 years. We lived in two small Kansas towns and then Seattle, WA where he was an assistant women's volleyball coach at the University of WA and the past 4 years we have lived in Laramie, WY where he has been the head volleyball coach at the University of Wyoming. In December he stepped down and we are now looking at moving back down to Texas, warmer weather! We have three kids, Casey age 13 going into 8th grade, Haley age 10 going into 5th grade and Doak age 8 going into 3rd grade. I have been a stay at home mom since Casey was born and love it. My parents live in Boerne, so we get back there several times a year. My Dad should be at the event on Saturday afternoon, so stop by and say hello. Some of you might remember him as Coach Pete. Have a great time at the reunion and hopefully I can make the 30th!

You can reach me at stangle@hotmail.com

Well, I posted something earlier, but don't see it now, so here goes again:

Julie G - What is Mary Alice Price up to these days? She and I were friends from the get-go since our older brothers were best friends all through school. They are having their 30th reunion the same weekend as our 25th! And how about the Marshall twins? I lost track of them awhile back and often wonder what ever became of them. Fill me in!

Lisa H - I am sure I have seen you around the Bulverde area! My oldest is going into 8th grade at SVMS. Is that where your son Connor just finished? My daugther played for the school basketball and volleyball teams and was in honors choir.

Paige W - remember the good ol' choir days with Mrs. Huth? Was that Ike or WC? I'm still a closet singer. My children hate when I break into song. All I hear from them is "MOTH-ER!! Please!"

Scott C - congrats on your new position in NEISD! I taught in NEISD for the first 5 years out of college, and then came back again to the district from '96 - '00. It's really stange when you run into your former teachers at distrit workshops or inservices.

Mardi S - your family portrait you posted is beautiful. I, too, have a Lindsay. She's 9 and starting 4th grade!

Wish I could make it to the reunion. No need for anyone to shame this SA resident into going. Been there, done that. My family is coming in from CA and Beijing, China this weekend and I best be the devoted sister, daughter, aunt and mother and stick around for the family visit.

It sounds like it's going to be a blast! I look forward to hearing about it when it's all said and done.

P.S. Bill K - When I do my summer cleaning, I will hunt down the picture of the two of us from our office assistant days...it'll be worth a good laugh! :)

Amie (Fahel) Jurica

Anonymous said...

Hey Amie!

Yes, I have seen you around the area within the school district but never put two & two together that we graduated together. I hung out with your sister for a while after graduation. Connor did go to SVMS and had a great time his 7 & 8th grade years there.

Well, it is 2 1/2 hours till the big reunion!

I am just so excited to see everyone!

Cheers!

I just now went to the Youtube site in your post -- too funny!! Tommy Kovacs definitely had the dance moves going - next to Leslie Cob!! Did you take that from your I-phone? Also love the compilation of your movie hits. I didn' realize Hollywood would let a guy like you kiss those girls!! Hopefully we will see you in a cameo role on the silver screen soon! Best of luck to you and see you in five!

Hi from Kelly Koger. Thanks to Scott Combs for letting me know about the blog. Last name is Martinez and I am living in SA. Matt Gordon is probably the only one I see often. Do have great memories. Well maybe not this first one from Larkspur days. :P

Kerry Rosenstein and Lisa Rowan memory. One day on the play ground they were admiring my long hair, only for me turn around just in time to stop them from putting a big glob of snot in my hair! LOL Where were the teachers to help protect the sweet and innocent?

There were a few Larkspur Leopards that went to Jackson and then Churchill. Lisa Leger, Jill Eppinger, Grace Koreneck, Edda Canales(?) Greg Lee, Gina Holbrook, Misty Neely. Who else?

Lisa Kotzebue the best and most amazing friend ever. Where are you? Great memories of flying in your dad’s plan and landing in the water right in front of your house, us driving that little speed boat and driving very recklessly in his golf cart. We no doubt caused much stress on your parents.

Lisa Leger and I use to ride our horses on Elm Creek property and get chased by the security guards. Luckily golf carts were no match for our speed steeds. Hey Lisa, Babbitt’s is still in Castle Hills. Most beautiful memory, riding horses on your ranch.

Cheryl Whipple, Robert Stocker, and Scott Combs. Need I say more? :D

Max Herrera, do you remember Ford Arabians in Blanco and that little diner along the way? You were such a sweet guy.

Craig Kopecky another great guy. Where are you?

Jill Gay the volleyball queen. I was doing a paper on the harmful effects of marijuana and she gave me a fatty for my research. AGAIN, where were the teachers to help protect the sweet and innocent?

Hey, Class of 83! This is Riconda Solis. Most of you probably don't remember me since I joined you in the middle of our sophomore year (transferred from MacArthur) and then left in the middle of our senior year to move back to Michigan. People asked me if I was going to live on a dairy farm! That's Texans for you. They live in their own world! Anyway, I was hoping Marcia Kemble would have sent me an invitation to the reunion since we used to keep in touch. But I didn't think to look at the WC site. The photos posted are great.

Anyway, I would love to get in touch with a few people: the Marshall twins, Aimee Goodenough, Patti Gonzales, and Mary Garcia. Let me know if anyone can help.

I enjoyed seeing the pic of Senor Glaze at the reunion. Sounds like everyone had a blast. When the next one (30th) gets set, I would love to receive information.

BTW-I graduated from Northwestern Michigan College 1987. I am living in northeast Michigan and my husband of 19 1/2 years and I own and operate two small rural newspapers: piadvance.com. We have two daughters, a senior (Jordyn) and a freshman (Kelleigh). Jordyn is the current reigning Miss Rogers City 2008. We have a nautical festival each year because we are located on Lake Huron.

I am on the board of our Rogers City Community Theatre. I have been active in live theater since moving here in 1989. Most recently, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

Anyone is welcome to e-mail me at rrlamb@speednetllc.com

Thanks for this forum. Ha, ha. See above!-Riconda
