Larkspur - 5th Grade

How cute we were in 1976! Remember the bicentennial festivities? 50 Nifty United States...I still use that song when I try to answer Jeopardy questions.

Charlie Paulette sent this picture of 5th grade at Larkspur. There's a bigger image at our class photo site on flickr.

Forever relegated to the bottom row: Judy Shelton, Charlie, Kelly Koger, me and Jeff Pyle.

You'll also see our beloved Tommy Maurer and many more familiar faces -- Brian Brust, Susan Carter, Aaron, Dan Oines, David Dylla, Lisa Kotzebue...

is that Bill Maxwell in the horrible yellow shirt on the 2nd row??

How dare you. That was my very first boyfriend, Jeff Thomas. The shirt is lovely. I liked him because he brought me candy, which my mean parents wouldn't stock.

Wow! That does bring back some memories. Those were some really short skirts for fifth graders back then! I like my plaid pants. I think plaid shorts are back now.
I usually see Ms. Ebeier at my parents church when I visit SA. She still looks the same. See you next weekend.

Brusty looks like one major bad @ss for a 5th grader!

I must've been some kind of hussy. Look at that short skirt.

Brusty,
Do you remember when Coach Hansen had me going against you in some snap count drill our senior year. He would stand behind me and you knew the count and i didn't. I must have come offsides and smashed into you while you were defenseless and holding the ball about 3 times in a row before you got pissed and came after me.

Coach Hanson was a sneaky cuss always stirring up the pot. I remember several of those antics. Wasn't it a blast banging our heads on "the cage" drills !!!!

Mike,
Check out the picture of Crozier's class I posted in the photo album section of this site. Bill Maxwell was in my class at Harmony Hills. Dude was nuts. He would eat everything on his tray everyday so he could go get "extras". Everyday, same thing. Let's watch Bill Maxwell dry heave. It takes a remarkable person who can eat everything off a school cafeteria tray 5 days a week. No telling what happened to him.
Hey, Are you still trained to kill people with your bare hands?

Combs,
Take a look at the 2nd drama picture. I have my sombrero strategically placed. I thought it was hysterical.
Yes, I am still a trained killer...I just don't like to talk about it. Too many memories...I don't sleep.

Combs,

Where's the picture?? I can't find it.

Mike,

On the home page of this site, in the column on the right side, click on "class photo album", or try this link:

While you are there, do yourself a favor and pay homage to the fine locks sported by our esteemed Dr. Greg Rogers. Sooo pretty. Leslie Cobb should bust out her the doo (the "Cindy Brady") she is wearing for the reunion.
